A current exam is important to determine if you are a candidate for LASIK surgery and if there are any other factors that may affect the results. The history review enables our optometrists to determine if your prescription is stable and you are healthy enough to consider surgery.
Once the doctor has performed the evaluation and determined that you are a good candidate for LASIK, we will schedule an appointment for you at LASIK surgery center. The center will perform an advanced diagnostic testing and various surgery options will be discussed with you.
Post-Operative Care
Once we know the date of your surgery, we will schedule follow-up appointments for you at our office. Typically, you will begin these follow-ups the day after the surgery and continue at prearranged times over the following twelve (12) months. After 1 year, annual eye exams are recommended to monitor the long-term results of your procedure.
